What began as a family vision in Mexico has evolved into a chefwear house renowned for its precise fits, durable fabrics, and elevated design, now based in Dallas and poised for the demands of American kitchens.
Our beginnings in Mexico
UNSER was founded in the mid-20th century by Maria Luisa Martinez y Jose Luis Gonzalez and family with a simple mandate: create uniforms that perform under pressure and present with confidence. From the first patterns to the last stitch, the focus was on quality materials, clean construction, and details that earn their place on the line. As word spread, the brand became a fixture for hospitality and culinary teams across Mexico City and beyond.
70 years of craft
Through the decades, UNSER evolved from a single counter to a network of boutiques and an omnichannel operation—constantly refining cut, fabric, and function. Milestones along the way include the first retail store, the flagship boutique era, the move into e-commerce, and the expansion of technical garments for modern kitchens. The constant through it all: garments designed to move, breathe, and last.
Why Dallas, why now
Dallas is a natural bridge between our heritage and our future. It’s a hub for ambitious restaurants, open-kitchen concepts, and hospitality teams that care about presence as much as performance. Being here lets us shorten lead times, support teams locally, and bring a proven standard of craft to a growing culinary market in the U.S.
